jelly baby project
When the Jelly Baby was first eaten in the Victorian era, there was no awareness of the dangers of excessive consumption of sugar.
The tasty treats were simply that: an occasional luxury to be enjoyed. However, sugar is no longer just a treat, but a harmful, staple part of our diet.
The purpose of this collection of work was to increase awareness and encourage discussion around the consequences of the excess consumption of sugar in today’s society.

The sweets inside the tummies of the jelly babies represent the sugar-filled diets so many now consume. The consequence of this is represented by the pills.
